It's Movie Shout out Sunday Time!
Yesterday's Question was:
What is your favorite film that takes place (at least in part) on the high seas?
There was a lot of consensus on a few of these, and a few surprised us. We love it when this happens! Check out the responses below:
Finding Nemo (2003)

I've gotta go with The Abyss (1989).

Would have to be either Carry On Jack (1963) for comedy value or Dead Calm (1989) for maniac value.

I'll show my age. 20K Leagues Under the Sea (1954). Saw it at the theater when it came out. Jaws (1975) is a close second. I rarely go swimming in the ocean to this day.

The Abyss (1989) is my fave too...

Abyss (1989) is a good one, but the only ones I can remember w/ sea scenes involve James Bond + a brunette, which probably means something.

Speed 2 (1997)? Just kidding....I love The Abyss (1989), but I think I gotta go with Mister Roberts (1955).
Brigitte B via Facebook
Pirates of the Caribbean (2003). The first one.

Probably...Crimson Tide (1995). Everything that movie did well is now so cliched, it's easy to forget how balanced and slick a movie it is. That, or Down Periscope (1996).
Lee from MYMHM
The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964). Don Knotts as an animated fish fighting Nazi's? How can you go wrong?
