Okay, Everyone! It's Movie Shout Out Time!
This week's question is in honor of sports:
What is your favorite sports scene from a movie?
Remember - the term "Sports" covers a lot of ground. Let's hear it!
MYMHM
We got some interesting responses! Many of you used our rather broad definition of "Sports."
Check out the responses below:
The one at the top of my head is - Fight scenes in "Fight Club" and "Never back down". Technically sport - Wrestling :P

I would say that Rizzo's pre-game speech from "Miracle" was one of the Best scene's ever from a sports movie.

NGL, I hate a lot of sports movies. So many damn painful clichés. But...Angels in the Outfield during that montage of angel help.

The opening football scene in The Last Boy Scout. This is how football should be played.

The entire movie of "The Goat." Good movie.

My first thought was Robert Redford in The Natural when he jacks the home run at the end that hits the stadium lights--all this after they show blood on his shirt. But then I could think of Dennis Hopper jumping up and down on his hospital bed in rehab near the end of Hoosiers. Wow, there's so many! Guess that dates me...oh well. Who cares?

when Charlie Sheen walks out to 'wild thing' in Major League, has made me love that song ever since.

This one might be a bit obscure, but I really enjoyed the football game that is the climatic event of the The Best of Times. Robin Williams replaying a HS football game. "I’m pretty fast for a Caucasian."

My favorite was in the movie Knute Rockne, where Ronald Reagan (the Gipper) told Knute, while he was lying in his death bed, to " Win one for Gipper."

It sure does cover a lot of ground. The Replacements is one sports 'movie' I enjoyed a lot. Can't think up of a scene in specific. Since ESPN airs poker tournaments, the poker act in Casino Royale would be a 'sports scene' with poison and machete cheating. I'd consider the verbal dueling of Buscemi and Miller in Interview a sport but its longer than a single scene so wouldn't count.

All of The Leatherheads.

the matrix one - it brazenly axed the typical awkward training scenes and went straight to badass. "i know kung fu!" and why not?

The dancing scenes from Dirty Dancing. Dancing can be a sport!

Gotta say the Ninja Turtles. Ninjas, come on!

The training scenes in The Cutting Edge. Specifically, "Toe Pick!" Love it!

The heavenly baseball game in Field of Dreams, where the doctor finally gets to bat, but then has to leave the field...Or Rocky, you know. Whateves.

Tim, great movie! It's movies like that give me the warm fuzzies. Hard not to start chanting, "USA!" in the theaters. Which would probably annoy the other patrons. :)

llunsfor, those movies don't date you! They are two of the best sports movies! And I agree with your choices. I'm a huge baseball fan, and that scene in The Natural is classic!

The coursing scene from Snatch, starring Brad Pitt & Jason Statham. Proper f*****d!
HA! Proper F@CKED indeed!
Ok, so you have to consider Victory (1981) starring Sylvester Stallone & Pele'. This is definitely a Movie You Might Have Missed and it gives us some great sports action, including a game tying bicycle goal by Pele' himself!
Oh man! Sylvester Stallone AND PELE'?!?!? WAAAAHHHH????
I GOTTA see that!
