Movie Shout Outs - Most Surprising Actor in a Sports Movie?-Responses

It Movie Shout Out Response Time!

Yesterday's question was:

What actor were you most surprised to see in a sports movie?

I was surprised.  Were you surprised?  I was very surprised :) Check out the responses below:

David Hasselhoff as the German coach in Dodgeball (2004). No, hang on, I should have seen that one coming.

Little obvious but Bob Barker in Happy Gilmore(1996).  Also he's not an actor..lol.
Ryan C. via Facebook comment

Gene Hackman in Hoosiers (1986).  Up to that point, the films I identified him with were The French Connection and Superman.
Gary L via Email

Gary Busey in Rookie of the Year (1993).

Robert Redford in The Natural (1984).  He was always a cowboy to me.

Ummm, how about Rosie O'Donnell in A League of Their Own (1992).

Mac Davis. North Dallas Forty (1979).  Just have a hard time picturing him as a pro QB.

I'm going to have to go with one from the episode.  I was surprised to see Hector Elizondo playing the coach in Necessary Roughness (1991).  He always seemed so proper in all his other roles.  Of course he brought that to this role as well.

Man Marie, you picked a hard one this week...
Now normally I'd be trying to pick some famous actor who would seem out of place in a cheesy sports flick, but really when I thought about it, I was MOST surprised to see Tim Allen in Red Belt (2008). I can't even say why. I was just sitting there watching the flick and had to sit up and say "Wow. HE'S in this..."
