30 - Be Ethical with 'A Man For All Seasons'!
Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 8:07AM Well lookee here!
The big 3-0, and to celebrate, Lee's roommate Tuck joins us to talk about this Fred Zinneman classic!
Apparently this film was mandatory viewing for one of Tuck's ethics classes, but don't let that scare you away. 'A Man For All Seasons' is a smart, funny, moving look at the reign of Henry the VIII, from the perspective of Thomas More.
Featuring an incredible cast, and winning SIX Oscars in 1966, let's see if Tuck can defend WHY you should watch this "ethical" movie...

I had to watch this for a class as well but for history...I'm surprised at how much of the comic underpinning the clips brought back. You don't get wit in movies often enough. An entertaining episode, as always.
Oh! And the wit is so DELICIOUSLY dry...
Is the sports movie tri-fecta going to be all three Mighty Ducks films?
Hey Edward. That was the intended plan, but we spent a few days trying to work out a two man flying V before getting frustrated and switching movies.
i would totally do the guy on the far left
Watched this about a year ago. Really enjoyed it. Lee talking about "I don't know who that guy is" who played Henry VIII. That's Robert Shaw, better known for the character Captain Sam Quint of Jaws!
Holy CRAP IT IS!
I NEVER would've made that connection. I even scanned his IMDB and thought "Hmmm his name is familiar... Don't recognize any of his credits though..."
