Movie Shout Outs - Stage Play from a Film?-Responses

It's Sunday. Which means it's Movie Shout Out Response time!

Yesterday's question was:

What movie would you most want to see on stage?

You gave us some GREAT ideas.  I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a few of these on stage someday soon.

Check them out below:

Match Point (2005)

2001 [: A Space Odessey] (1968)

I have two I can't decide between so I'm writing them all down! Brick (2005) and The Rules of Attraction (2002). I think both of them would be great on the stage and you wouldn't even have to change the actors.

Primer (2004) lol

Not sure how to interpret this question. Noises Off was originally a play, the same goes for some other great films like You Can Count On Me (2000) (my first choice) or Equus. But if you're looking for a film I would like to see "staged" I think that might be something with a cast I'd like to see IRL like Kinsey (2004) or The Hours (2002).

there's so many to choose from, but most films could never translate to the stage, but Evil Dead (1981) would work great in a theater.

I've always wanted to see a stage version of Annie Hall (1977)- which would be especially awesome since, in the movie, we're shown a piece of a play Alvy Singer wrote about the events in the movie. It would be a play within a play based on a movie.

The Usual Suspects (1995) would rock on stage.

Fight Club (1999) - The Musical! ;)

Godzilla (1998) :P

Inglorious Bastards (2009)

The Dark Knight (2008). Just Because!

Shaun of the Dead (2004).

Hmmm... Tricky.  David R already took my idea of turning Fight Club into a musical so how about... Romeo and Juliet... Oh. LOL! Of COURSE that wont work... Ummm.... then I'll pick Our Town ... or not ... Hows about A Streetcar Named Desire! Oh. Right... Yeah... A Few Good Men? No wait... What about 12 Angry Men? ... no? Ok then how about Amadeusssssssshooot... no that wont do, then maybe Rosencrantz and Guildensssseriuosly!?!?! OK.  OK. I got it. Let's do Noises OfffffffFFFFUUUUUUUU....

I can think of a few, but in the spirit of Noises Off I'm gonna say Waiting For Guffman (1996).

Ha!
Waiting for Guffman would be pretty meta. A play within a mockumentary stage show...
