Movie Shout Outs - Who Deserves a Biopic? - Responses

Good Sunday Morning!

It's Movie Shout Out Response Time!

Yesterday's question was:

Who do you think deserves a biopic?

We got some really creative responses! And we kinda hope someone with the power to greenlight a flick reads a few of these.

Check them out below:

Richard Branson (Owner of VIRGIN group), read his autobiography - Losing my Virginity. Super stuff, would make a great plot for movie. 2. Late Dhirubhai Ambani, owner of Reliance group (his sons are in the top 10 richest guys in the World), super Rags to Riches story..

I'd love to see a George Carlin biopic

I deserve a biopic called 'beer monster' ;-) failing that I think I could cope with a biopic of John Peel, greatest dj ever.

He's probably too obscure. Adam Clayton Powell.

People where I thought biopics are due: Timothy Leary, Albert Hofmann.

I think the story of Elon Musk might make an interesting story...Oooh... or a biopic on Tesla himself. Or has that been done?

Hubert Julian, the Black Charles Lindbergh; credit where its due @jessnevins suggested this first

While I'm generally not a fan of most biopics (some are done interestingly) I'd love to see something on Orson Welles.

Would say Felicia Day... ;)

Ottmar Mergenthaler, the inventor of Linotype.  It's actually an incredible story.

I kept trying to think of grander and grander individuals who deserved a bio-pic (but didn't already have one), and I keep coming back to an artist I saw live once in Dayton Ohio. His name was Denny Dent, and he passed away in 2004. He was this crazy rock n roll portrait painter with a Jackson Pollack like attack on the canvas. I got to see him paint live once, and it was one of the most kickass "rock n roll" things I've ever witnessed. Straight up artist, hippie nut, I just think he'd be an interesting subject to make a film about. I think I would cast someone like Robert Pastorelli to play him. You can see some of his work on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzJ5m-O3Jmg

What a great blog! It is a pity that I can not find RRS address. If RRS offers a subscription service, I can easily follow your blog!
