Why is indie even a genre? What is the common element between inglourious Basterds and The Station Agent? If I have to pick one though, Before Sunrise (1995).

Troubled Water (2008). Norwegian film from 2008. Michael Moore seems to agree with me. I do not know if that adds credibility or not. Great movie though, and one I would like to see MYMHM cover.

You Can Count On Me (2000)
.  I know - you're tired of me bringing it up :)

Primer (2004)

This is a tough one for me.  Very often I can't tell if something counts as an Indie flick (Independent Producer, not a mainstream company).  It's hard for me to tell if this counts, but I'm picking Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998).
