52 - The Movies You May Have Missed One Year Anniversary Spectacular!
Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 8:07AM That's right folks! We've been doing this for a YEAR!
And in true Juan-Anal-Retentive fashion, we haven't missed a week, the "perfect attendance" approach to podcasting.
Over this year we've grown from a wacky little show watched by a handful of people to a show watched in almost every country of the world, by hundreds of thousands of people, MILLIONS of times a month. We've been so grateful to have found this film community. Thanks to your involvement over this last year, we've learned so much about film, and have watched an incredible number of movies we never would have considered.
This week's episode is a thank you to all of you who have joined us on this journey.
Movies You May Have Missed wouldn't be anything without your support and interaction. We're really proud to have reached this milestone, and we hope you'll continue to support our show with Diggs, Tweets, Stumbles, Likes, embeds, and more. On behalf of Juan, Lee, Marie, and Dutch, Have fun watching some movies!

You know, you guys still haven't done a western. And you said 2010 was a year of firsts, so have at it.
That's very true!
We do need to cover a western...
Well John, what film would you recommend we start with?
Quigly Down Under!!!
Buckaroo Banzai is kinda a Western...
Um... Well... It's kind of a western, yeah...
Sukiyaki Western Django??
Sukiyaki would be awesome!
But I would suggest 'Gunless', a canadian western comedy starring Paul Gross (Due South).
"A hardened American gunslinger is repeatedly thwarted in his attempts to mount a showdown in a friendly town in Canada where no one seems to understand or appreciate the brutal code of the American Wild West."
OMG! Chauncy! I LOVE PAUL GROSS! Holy Crap! I've gotta get a copy of that. Slings & Arrows BLEW MY MIND!!!
Awesome stuff guys. Wonderful video!!!
That was fun...congratulations on your first year!
Clearly I'm behind on my MYMHM viewing since I'm just seeing this now, but holy shit, is that Daran Norris? I love that guy in Veronica Mars (and according to his IMDB page, every fucking cartoon or video game made in the last 15 years). Good job guys and congrats.
LOL!
Thanks Jimmy. Yeah that's Daran Norris. I met him doing voice over work, and he's quickly become one of my favorite people on the planet. We were STOOPID stoked when he agreed to play Bert.
He also joined us a couple episodes later to actually sit down and review a film. Check out the episode on Harold & Maude! It's Daran's favorite film.
My goodness, what a wonderful year-anniversary episode (I've not watched all previous 51 mind you just yet; but must have watched at least 50 by now in total). I love you poking fun at yourself, especially with the opening fawning to the camera at the start :)
Also, wow, the brilliant Daran Norris! Mainly know him from Team America, but I bet I've heard him in many many other things (he just stands out in Team America amazingly well). What an amazing voice :)
Wonder what will be in store this May...can't wait.
LOL!
Thanks Andrew!
No pressure or nuthin huh?
This'll actually be a pretty hard episode to top...
I think if you get stuck making it, just include another long amount of name mis-sayings and I'll certainly be happy ;)
HA!
We certainly have PLENTY of material for that...
