Movie Shout Outs - Favorite Fish Out of Water Film? - Responses!
Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 4:00AM It's Movie Shout Out Response Time!
Yesterday's question was:
What is your favorite fish out of water film?
It was fun to see how many movies really did fit into this category. Check out your responses below:
Jon Favreaus directorial debut Made (2001) is probably my favorite fish out of water movie. Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn get involved with the mafia underworld and whilst Jon Favreau doesn't want to know how the underworld works, Vince Vaughn just doesn't get it. Fantastic film, with great performances from everyone including P Diddy.

brain a little unfocused so all I came up with (after skipping over Clueless (1995)) is The Bad News Bears (1976) -- Matthau does good grumpy fish

King Ralph (1991)! Just kidding...but I may have to go back to the original The Parent Trap (1961). I saw that movie a million times as a kid.

There are some fantastic picks up above, so I'm going to cheat and dodge the question. Instead of which is my favorite, how about which fish out of water story I'd most like to see made! I'd give much respect to any director willing to tackle 'Stranger in a Strange Land'.
