Movie Shout Outs - What Movie Says Summertime to You? - Responses!

It's Movie Shout Out Response Time! And Happy 4th of July - Hope it's a safe and fun one!

Yesterday's question was:

What movie says Summertime to you?

You're movies made us think of the lazy days of summer (I remember what that was like).  Check them out below:

For whatever reason, Die Hard: With a Vengeance is the first that comes to mind.

Meatballs says summer to me, even though I never went to summer camp. :P

Thought of a lot, but to keep it simple, 'Indian Summer' (1993) Though was torn between Vacation & Friday the 13th... ;)

Richard Linklater's: "Dazed and Confused" (1993). Maybe a little bit because I live in Austin, TX :)

Elvis movies, they were always on UK TV in the summer when I was a kid.

Paris When It Sizzles. Holden and Hepburn are great + funny, plus bonus Tony Curtis. A romp full of summer silliness.

The Sandlot :)

larry clarke's kids. Can feel the heat. Adds to the oppressive nature of the film.

I could be really British and say Summer Holiday with cliff Richard, but nothing says summer to me more than Jaws.

Major League. It has it all.  Comedy.  Baseball. Totally Summer!

There is a part of me that wants to say Independence Day, even though I don't love that movie.  There is something about it that just says Hot Dogs and Barbecue.  Ultimately, I have to say Rocky.

Obvious, "The Long, Hot Summer". Can't beat Newman and Woodward.
