Movie Shout Outs - Favorite Film Noir

Good Sunday morning, Movie Fans! It's Movie Shout Out Response Time!

Yesterday's question was a simple one:

What is your favorite Film Noir?

Your responses reminded us why this genre is so popular.  Check them out below:

Gun Crazy (1950) or Lana Turner's real life.

Chinatown (1974).

Oh my. So hard to choose. Blood Simple (1984), Chinatown (1974), Double Indemnity (1944), Le Cercle Rouge (1970), The Third Man (1949).

"It's Chinatown, Jake." Don't forget the classic, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982). :)

Does Twelve Monkeys (1995) count?

Standing on the shoulders of Sunset Blvd (1950), I'd have to say Mulholland Drive (2001). One of the most disturbing movies I've seen.

Robert Wise's THE SET-UP (1949) and Billy Wilder's Double Indemnity (1944)!

Touch of Evil (1958)

fave noir has to be Touch of Evil (1958), it's got Orson in, need I say more?

The Big Sleep (1946) and The Long Goodbye (1973) grace the top of my long list of noir faves.

Brick (2005) is my favourite film noir, I'm pretty sure that counts.

Mine is probably The Man Who Wasn't There (2001).

Pulp Fiction (1994).  I believe it is still Tarantino’s best.

aven't seen many noirs. I had the topic on social class in film studies instead :-) but Brick (2005) is an astonishing watch.

Memento (2000). All it needs is some fedoras. :)

I meant the Coen Brothers Man Who Wasn't There not the Steve Guttenberg invisible man one. Because the Steve Guttenberg one was terrible.

LOL Hey Chris.
TOTALLY didn't catch that when we put the post together.
Link corrected, and your secret obsession with Steve Guttenberg is safe again!
