68 - Don't Forget Your Sunglasses When We Turn Up the 'Sunshine'

Make the science too realisitic, and it can make for a really dull story. Make the story too dramatic, and you can have real suspension of disbelief issues.
Cillian Murphy leads a terrific cast on a mission from the Earth to the Sun. Will Calamity ensue?

A weird thing I wanted to happen in Sunshine was that the last characters (the two C's) left at the end could have had more connection to each other. Maybe I'm a little to much of a romanticist. Great film.

My first pick for a hard sci-fi flick would be 'Primer'. It doesn't really get more science-y than Shane Carruth...

Enjoyed your take on Sunshine, think it's a really great if still flawed movie. Also agree big time on the sepcial mention to the soundtrack. It's truly epic. But it's not by John Howard, it's scored by good old John Murphy, the guy who worked with Danny Boyle on the soundtrack to 28 Days Later.
Keep up the good work lads.
First review I watch from you, and I pretty much agree with everything. I really was liking it, nice characters, good dialogue interplay, pretty hard sicfi... but yeah that particular "Boyle thing" that suddenly appears really brings it down. Still, Cillian manages to provide an epic and very emotional ending, the awesome music no doubt a major contribution to that.
Also, you guys MUST review "THE FOUNTAIN", awesome movie that sadly didn't get half the attention it deserved.
(oh, and FRENCH + ZOMBIES = you also have "The Horde".)
