116: Fan Requests Part Two! - 'The Big Country' and 'Stalker'

And the hits keep coming, folks! Get ready for week TWO of the fan requests.

This week we bow to peer pressure (via facebook) and finally review a western covering, 'The Big Country.'  Then we'll get a bit...existential and cover something a little different called 'Stalker.'  Check it out.

And thanks again for the recommendations!

Charlton Heston as a thug ugly is a strange (and contorted) thing to see. Thanks for the Western craving. Maybe I can catch a Maverick episode somewhere. Stalker (the movie) sounds intriguing.

I know this might come off more as a boost, but I disagree with Juan about seeing Stalker on DVD. Not to say he's wrong, just a difference in opinion. I got to see Stalker this August at North West film center on the big screen. http://www.nwfilm.org/ Dubious award for projectionist fiddling with his dowser.

If at all possible that's how it should be seen. There is so many little details I didn't notice watching the DVD. The snail languidly slimming along. Dust blowing in the wind. Being able to make out all the weird discarded objects ( like old school syringes ) in the puddle scenes totally added to the surreal wasteland. I didn't remember being able to distinguish the dead couple at the end of the hall adjacent to the light bulb room. When I watched it on the DVD. Thank again you guys for your recommends and candor I love you both. And Marie too!
