Of the 42, I had seen only 4 before you guys covered them. Of the ones I hadn't seen before you guys covered them, my favorites were probably The Fall, The five obstructions and Primer.

"Primer" is one of my favorite Indie movies of all time. Surprising how many people haven't seen. Made on an exrtemely small budget, with no CGI, the illusion of time travel is made believable and plausible. Thanks, guys, for recognizing this little film. Since there are probably more movies I hadn't seen than I have, I'll just list the ones I had seen before I found this website.
The Fall, Brick, Primer, Fido, Princess Mononoke, Let the Right One in, In Bruges, King of Kong, Lola Rennt, Equilibrium and Moon. So I had seen 11 out of the 42 previously.

I think the number of movies that I had seen before covered by MYMHM is about ten. Let's see: Five Obstructions, Run Lola, Noises Off, Man for All Season, Igby, Station Agent, In Bruges, Man Bites Dog, Better Luck Tomorrow, Brick. Ten. Exactly ten.
But, oh my! I can't thank the show enough for bringing me 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints' and 'The Fall.' Those were the two best movies I saw last year by a mile.

When Marie and Dutch came up with this week's question, I kinda facepalmed a lil bit because I've always SUCKED at word jumbles. So instead of subjecting you to my lame attempts at movie title anagrams, I'm just going to share some of my fave finds.

'Scream' = Scar Me

We're hoping to make this a regular monthly event here at MYMHM, so for our inaugural run we're celebrating the Academy Awards! The awards show is March 7th, so we're going to do our movie get together on March 6th as a movie hors d'oeuvres.

What movie will we be watching?

In honor of Kathryn Bigelow's historic DGA win (and the fact that most of the MYMHM team did miss this flick) we're going to be starting 'The Hurt Locker' at 7pm pst. Everyone will need their own copy, and we'll be starting the film all at the same time!

Where can you join us?

We debated quite a bit as to what platform to use. We initially thought Twitter, but it's a little restricting, and we feel it would get too spammy for your other followers who weren't involved. Instead we're going to see if we can find a useful outlet for Google Wave. You'll need to send us an email through our contact page to let us know if you're going to participate so we can add you to the Wave.
